Pandemic, a word that we never wanted to hear and instead the who has declared that the new Coronavirus epidemic that is holding Italy in check, has become a worldwide emergency.
The situation that we all face is not simple, but the solution exists and this time the road will pass through extreme measures of containment and change in our lifestyle.

Coronavirus Pandemic: globalized and interconnected

All peoples and nations of the world have never been so interconnected as today, what happens in one part of the planet is reflected by this connection on a global scale.
This arrangement is reflected on the economy, on social life and the Coronavirus case is an example: a virus born in China is putting in serious trouble the whole world.

It is since the late 70′s that Dal Bello SIFE has globalized the exchange of goods, importing and distributing in Europe fruit from all over the world, always ensuring transparency on the traceability of products.
People and goods travel very fast to cross the planet, this brings us welfare and wealth, but perhaps this model of development is now showing us its limits.

Maybe it’s time for all the actors of the supply chain, producers, importers and distributors to reflect and invest in a sustainable development model, ensuring the right gain, but also becoming aware that this change of direction will not be immune from costs and investments.
Current events are confirming that we are all sailing in the same boat and only by assuming our share of responsibility will we be able to guarantee a future for generations to come.

Getting out of the emergency.

The top priority is to get out of the Coronavirus emergency as soon as possible, preserving the health of family, friends and co-workers comes first.

The only way to contain the Coronavirus pandemic is to slow down and adopt the safety and behavior measures outlined by the Ministry, in the most accurate way.
As a company Dal Bello SIFE does not stop its activities, as suppliers of food stuffs our role has become crucial. In the production chain we had to make some changes to which we soon adapted:
– we have eliminated contact between departments, channelling communication only via conference call;
– our employed have been equipped with masks and gloves;
– loading and unloading operations are carried out avoiding close contacts.

I would like to ask all the players in the distribution chain to be aware of the need not to fall into easy speculation and not to take advantage of events for personal gain.
We must instead enhance the heritage of companies operating in the area because at this time we need unity of purpose and collaboration.
Everything will end and life will return to normal, but this experience has already changed our way of life.
